PART 1 — ACCESS & DELIVERY
Can a unit reach your lot?

Your Kasita arrives on a flatbed and is set with a crane or trailer. Before anything else, confirm the path in.
Access path at least 12 ft wide for the delivery truck
⚠ PRO
Overhead clearance — no branches or wires under ~14 ft
Gates or fence openings are wide enough, or removable
Firm ground for the truck and crane — not soft or waterlogged
⚠ PRO
Room to maneuver — turning radius for a flatbed or crane
⚠ PRO
Shared-driveway or neighbor access confirmed in advance
A clear staging area near the final placement spot

PART 2 — FOUNDATION & GROUND
Where the unit will sit.

A level, well-drained pad is what makes a Kasita last. Confirm the ground before you order materials.
Pad location is roughly level — under about 6 in. of slope
⚠ PRO
Final spot marked and measured to the unit's footprint
Foundation type chosen — gravel pad, piers, or slab
⚠ PRO
Drainage flows away from the unit, not toward it
Setbacks from property lines confirmed for your city
⚠ PRO
Soft or expansive soil assessed where relevant
Trees or landscaping needing removal are flagged

PART 3 — UTILITIES
Power, water, and waste.

Most units need water, sewer, and electrical. Confirm each is reachable — or that you have a plan to extend it.
Water line within reach, or a plan to extend it
Sewer connection or an approved septic / holding plan
⚠ PRO
Electrical panel has spare capacity (often 100–200A)
⚠ PRO
Trench route mapped; 811 “call before you dig” done
Permits for utility work identified
Internet / data run considered — for offices & rentals
Gas line — only if your unit uses gas (most don't)
